Went out again last night boated 6 between. The two of us, fairly slow night. Caught 2 3#'s, 3 5-6#'s and then the one in the pic. He isn't a monster and wouldn't of been muvh help to anyone one in the contest but man was he a pig, fattesr cat I've ever caught! Probably 24-26 inches but 9 pounds easy maybe pushing 10. Gonna head back out tonight and see if I can't find a few bigger ones that wanna play!

You and your night time trips really rock the kitties... Did you ever say what you use for bait, or is that a trade secret? I know you don't want to let your locations out, but are you fishing the same spots all the time or do you move around? By the way, great fish again, you seem to me the consistent big fish taker this year.. I haven't seen Catmaster posting much, but you two would make a tough team to beat... I need to find the trick to move from the 5#ers into something bigger... I got one that went about 8 lbs this year, but out of 50 ish cats in the last couple months most of mine are around the 20 - 22" size... Probably my fishing method, the big cats probably don't cruise the shallows looking for 2" minnows... Good job... Later J

I have two or three main spots I will go and fish depending on how the fishing is at each spot depends on how long I will stay, sometimes one spot all night and sometimes all three, I like catching fish but I also like the nights that are somewhat slow to do a little exploring and try new spots and put my idea of the pattern I've think I've found to the test, so.far its held true. As for you saying you've caught that many smaller fish, have they all been in the same area!? It seems to me that one of my spots has consistent 3-8 pounders throwing out the occasional 10+ as for the others seem to hold not as many fish but most that are caught are 8+ pounds. But I'd rather catch one 10+ pounder in a night than 15 2-3 pounders. But that's kinda a choice ya gotta make! How deep is the water you've been fishing?! What type of rig do ya run?

Sounds like we are similar in our locations, two or three main spots and then exploring to find others. One difference is I still like to catch numbers of fish, I'm not a one fish a trip and happy kind of guy yet. I'm fishing knee deep water in my pontoon trolling a minnow. It's too simple, but its been working. Catch ya later. J

Hell yeah man, pretty good cat! Go check out some of my other posts for some bigger ones this guy was just the biggest of the weekend for me, ha bunch of 5-7's but couldn't find the big guys last weekend I guess ha

Yeah I usually only get 1 over 27 inches but the rest are usually about the 5 pound range, I caught a little baby channel yesterday about 6-7 inches, threw him back to grow. I found the bigger the piece of whitebass meat I use the bigger the channels but let frequent.

That's usually the case man, hell I'd throw a whole white bass on if it was legal? But there isn't really anything like that where I fish...
