I have made several trips to Pineview this month targeting smallies and the catching has been phenomenal. Our first trip was the most successful as we caught about 100 between 5 of us. Most over 1 lb and a few in the 3 and 4 lb range. The next trip we only landed about 25 or so and did happen to get a couple in the 3 lb range. Went on the 24th and they had moved the dock at Anderson's and I think the fish moved to deeper water. I caught 9, my son caught 5 and a friend we brought caught 2. I did get one right at 3 lbs and a couple 2.5, My son also caught a nice one right around 3. We were bank tangling mostly and the bite died each day with the arrival of the power squadron, best time was between 5am and 9am. The biggest fish we caught are on a friends camera and she has still not figured out how to upload them...but here are some of the rest

Wow. That's definitely in contrast to most P'View reports lately. Everybody else laments that it's dink city out there. Or skunkville.
Good for you!

[#502800]Nice ...... Are they still letting tubers launch at Andersons, if they are not staying at the campground?[/#502800]
[#502800]Did you use topwaters early on?[/#502800]

no top water at all, the best action was using anything that resembled a crawdad.Did not see any tubers.

Definitely not dink city if you know where to look! We've been doing pretty good. On Thursday almost every fish we caught was over 2 lbs.

I love the view. Some of the best pics I've seen on this site in a long time. Getting the kids hooked is what it's all about

8 lb lake Walcott smallie. When you coming to visit?

wow I need to get up there, I mean I really need to get up there. I cannot even imagine how awesome catching a smallie that big would be...Tell the dry creek boys that there was a certain dry creek bait they would not leave alone. In fact all of our fish were caught on the same bait in two different colors.
