I will be fishing Cascade next sat for smallies. I have never fished there before. I'm thinking a little top water early with some poppers or spooks but after that no clue. Any help would be appreciated. Thx. By the way lowell is still still good.

Your approavch for the morning will work along with in the evenings. In between it will be more of a plastics/jigs/cranks closer to the bottom approach.
You will see the portions of the lake where the Bass guys will concentrate which is the shore line from crown point all the way to Sugarloaf as well as the shore line around sugar loaf. The rockey edges in the dam area can be fun as well. I am not broadcasting any secret spots for this is common knowledge for anyone who ever has gone to that lake and the areas I described is vast and general in nature.

Nice fish from Lowell. I've been hitting the Caldwell damn, but was going to try Gotts Point with the pontoons this afternoon. Which general area have you been fishing?

When I had a boat I always tried to get on the water before sun rise and toss surface plugs along the shoreline from Crown Point on up toward Sugarloaf. The key was to use the surface lures before the sun shined on the water. Fish the shadows as long as you can. After that they seemed to go deeper and it was a different story as MH Gene pointed out.
