Joe and I have had the privilege of getting together again seeing I have been working in the area. We decided to hit a couple holes and see how they produced during the summer. We went to catch some skipjack as I have been getting very low on bait. Was able to catch some perfect sized ones and even lost a really nice smallie that came unbuttoned at the boat. About every time we reeled a skipjack in, a lunker largemouth was following it. Really wanted to catch that guy! <br />Joe certainly had the touch today! Decided to try to catch a few flatheads in the boils and it turns out that they were there. Joe made one cast with the net and pulled up a bucket load of nice threadfins. Caught 5 flatties total, inluding Joes 2nd and 3rd biggest to date...a nice 25lb and 31lber
The 31 probably was 34 before the dude had that nastiest diarrhea explosion all over me and the boat!!! Never have seen a fish do that. Im not talking a little bit, it was like a bomb went off. Horrible, Horrible smell.<br />We decided to go setup on a hole, and we were not there very long when I checked the radar to see we were about 20 minutes away from getting poured on. So we packed it up and promised to return <br />The Lord blessed our fellowship and blessed us with a few nice fish as well.
