Headed out this morning to swing some feather for some summer chrome. Made it down in to the sweet spot in the run and my fly got crushed! This hen jumped more than any steelhead I've ever hooked. In fact I can't tell you how many times she went airborne because I lost count. For those thinking about getting in to Spey rods and swinging flies echo rods and reels are amazing. Priced right and they cast, fish and fight extremely well. Check out the pic.

NICE!! Beautiful fish! I wish I had time to get up there, maybe in a couple months!
I still haven't got one on the Spey rod yet, or one in August for that matter...

So So jealous!!!!! I can't wait for them to arrive in the canyon by corn creek!!!!!! I always head down there in September a few times hoping for a September fish. I have saw several caught, but have yet to hook one in September.

Made it out again last night. No dice as far as fish go but I am making huge strides in my single Spey casting.

Congrats! This is the time of year to catch them, not in March when they have been in the river for 6 months. Hot fish, fight well, actively attack your fly...MONEY!!!
