<br /> With school starting back Thursday, mom wanted to go fishing one last time. After some gravy n biscuits we hit the Chick at 6:30 this morning. Hit the super special hot spot and started wearing out the crappie. The only problem was size, lots of 9 inchers today but we weeded thru them for some nice keepers. We ended up with 55 off our first spot without moving the boat and Mom got a really nice 14,25 inch TARP crappie. She was super excited. <br /> Made a few moves and decided to try our luck in the Wolf to get out of the wind. Hit a deep water laydown and boated 6-7. Decided to try for some bass for a minute. I lost one around 3 lbs on a crank (it went about 3 ft into the air and thru the bait back at me) and we both hooked up and lost one. At least we got our line pulled. <br /> Hit a few more places and called it a day at 10:30.<br /> We ended up with 68 crappie with around 20 keepers. I brought 14 home for my aunt, the TARP and all of the 10&amp;quot; squeaker keepers went back. Also got a little spotted bass. All crappie came on 1/32 oz lead with chartuse baits. Fish were between 5-15 feet down over deep water and/or brush. <br /> Had a good time with mom and the water was perfect. Hope to do it again soon.
