went to deer creek last night. I launched at 7 and was fishing at 7:30.
The wife wanted to have a bass fry today so I had to go get a limit. in 20 min I had a limit of 11-12 inch small mouths and now was just fishing for fun.... I caught 3 more two at 6 inch and one at 9. I went down the walsberg arm and it was now dark and I was trying to pull one of those big small mouths I have heard deer creek has..... after about 15 casts I watched the water erupt and i knew it was on the spot on my top water was!!!! set the hook and there it was that big small mouth that i wanted, or so i thought.... when i landed it to my amazement it was a toad large mouth!!! for the end of the night i ended up with 9 small mouth and 1 large mouth.....
Going back out tonight for some fun catch and release smallies!!!!

This post is worthless without a picture... [

Caught all of your smallies on top water?

worthless to you but not me!!!! [
]I have lost one phone in deer creek already taking pics of some trout back in April. no pics while on the water!!!! sorry!!!
haha yes my friend all on the top water.... its funny I have caught a lot of fish at deer creek this year and only 3 bass on plastics and I bass on crank baits. all other bass were on top waters.... I don't change baits when the bite gets slow I just keep on keeping on with the top water and can catch fish throughout the day on it than any other bait.

Must be using the wrong plastics. I would say I catch 5 to 1 on plastics vs topwater.

Maybe you should but a waterproof camera and a long leash for it so you can take pictures. Great idea [cool] Your welcome [
]
Now you got no excused for not having any pictures next trip[

No he was whipping a fly in the air and the fish jump up for the flies in mid air while casting back and forth. [cool]

buying a water proof camera means putting money to something I don't need.... got a 2 year old little boy who I would rather spend my money on than a camera to show people I don't even know a pic of a fish when they can go out and catch some them selves to see ya know....

Maybe you need a waterproof camera to take good memory pictures that both of you can look back in 15 years. Great investment.

Ill say it again. "One picture is with 1000 words."

Nice, raising that boy right!

"Toad largie". How big is that? I'm just curious. I've fished deer creek a bunch this year and my biggest largie is only about 15 inches.

I'm thinkin that's probably about right! After catching numerous 12" cough 9" smallies a 15"er would be a toad

I hope crappie thinks twice about this great investment with a leash attacked to it. [laugh]

]She was really fat more than long and large. I would say no longer than 16in. But it is the fattest/biggest one I've caught there. I'm not claiming a record fish just a big one is all....
