Found a Redington Core Performance rod, 4 piece, 9 ft., 5wt. for 129.00. Excellent shape with no name reel. Is that a good deal?

Without a warranty it's a fair deal, good deal would be $99. And as long as it's not stolen.

Then again if the reel is functional.... I think it is a fast action. Nice for big flies and wind, but could also feel like a club. Will then let you test it? They do not retail for much over that.
