put in at two an went up river. fished current breaks with Carolina rigs and jigs with nothing to show. started working our way down river and picked up a few spots. wasn't until six before dad put the first quality fish in the boat. next cast and he hooks up on another good one; but, entangled in brush, it came unglued. ran back up river for a hail mary around seven, and I lost a nice smallmouth to top things off; that would have been my best fish of the day had I managed to get it in the boat. water temp was approx. 83 degrees and we threw just about everything we had. texas rigged worm worked best for us.
