I'm always heard Scott was one of the best.... Heard many of people loving the S4's impaticular. I haven't casted one myself yet, but MRFC is having a close out of the S4's right now for $499.. My 8wt just showed up yesterday and I'll report back Saturday how it was! [Tongue]

Ooooh The S4 looks sic, luv the blue burel wood looking handle, I got say that's one nice fly rod. Yeah let me know how it casts may have to crack open the piggy bank.

Way back in the good old days, I had a Scott. Medium Action and wonderful rod. Mid price range. I also had a Scott Eclipse 3wt. More the upper end for it's day. Sold both to my brother in law.
Two years ago I entered a contest and won a Scott F2 glass rod. Sweet stick for sure. Gave it to my hubby as he won the year before and gave me the Hardy Test.

Scotts are great rods right up there with Sage, TnT, Winston, Orvis, .......

Made in the USA, Colorado. I have been fishing Scott 5 wt. A3 for 8 years and enjoy it. Used it again last weekend on the Madison above Quake Lake throwing lots of sinkers and hooking up some brutes!!

I think Scott makes some of the best rods on the market. I still have an old 5 wt STS from the early 90's I use to this day.

I built an A3 4 pc 4wt for my son a few years back, wonderful rod. Scott calls it a medium fast, i would rate is as more in the direction of medium. Not sure of the 6 or 7 wts as I have never casted one. I do know Scott stands behind their rods and they are made in the USA (Telluride, Co.)

Got the rod out of the tube and hit the water Saturday. What a dream! Was not hard at all to be casting 50' of line with 2 or 3 false casts. I'm ready to go buy me a 3wt now if only I had the money. The quality of the rods are spot of, purely beautiful rods. Great feel, love the flex, awesome rod! Spend an extra $50 and get the S4 before they're sold out.

I'm looking for a Scott as well, only hear good things about them. I keep trying to save up but car problems keep getting in the way. Does anyone have one they would consider selling like a 9 foot 5 or 6 weight? What are some good rods that they have made in the past that may be cheaper now?

Eclipse was a killer rod.

The A3 is the only rod I've experienced with Scott so... But laced it up with Rio camo line, fished it last weekend and wow am I impressed. I was throwing some hefty sized streamers and jigs not problem.

FYI skip the Rio Camo line seem to have allot of memory it kept coiling up on my stripping apron.

And that is a floating line right?

Like I said I had an Eclipse and a V2 both medium action (my style) and won my hubby the F2.
I don't know why I don't own Scott. Guess I prefer Winston and Orvis. I went to buy a Sage ZXL, but made the mistake of casting the JWF and knew that was the rod. I guess I just haven't found the Scott that speaks to me yet.
But I like T & T as well but don't own one.

No, its Intermediate Sinking

Huh, I looked up Rio Camo and only found floating. I have Cortland Clear Camo Intermediate. It has memory but not too bad. Orvis clear intermediate is terrible.

Its called Rio Camolux I guess they upgraded it to Intouch Camolux now but I got discontinued version from Leland. Boy I tell you it was tangling up just stripping it onto the apron. Im thinking of take a hair blow dryer and see if I can stretch it
