Me, my son and grandson drove down to Yuba yesterday afternoon. Arrived at Oasis around 4:30. Got sprinkled on a couple of times but other than that the weather was fine. Threw spinner baits and hard baits. We caught some on each type of lure. It was slow but we caught a couple of nice ones. The biggest was 19 1/2 # and 41 " long, with a 17" girth.

Kent,
It was a good day. When you can spend time with your son and grandson you can't lose. Grandson played with the paddle, net and a fishing pole most of the time. Being just 3 years old not able to cast a lure. He wanted to throw rocks in the water so we took a break and he threw some rocks from the shore into the water and I let him bring a few back on the boat to throw in the water. It started to rain and his dad told him it was raining and he said "no grandpa is throwing water".
Me and my son will be heading up to CJ Strike September 17-21.Will give a report when we return. A friend and his son may come up and join us for a day or 2. Will see if all the lesson you gave me pay off !!

With that many days to fish you should be able to find them and figure them out.
