Ads are ads, but the slide-out on the bottem left of my screen is KILLIN' ME! How go I get rid of it? Computer savvy folks please help!

This must only happen to you computer using folks. I only get on BFT from my phone and I never have a problem with it.

Get a program called Ad Block or Ad Block Plus it will stop those adertisements from coming up and you can turn it off and on at will.

Hi guys, the ads aren't the problem we are having some server issues right now, should have it straightened out by tomorrow.

P.S if your seeing a slide out ad on the bottom of the page its from your browser, we don't have a bottom slide out ad.

Yup. I noticed some "Server Error" notices recently when switching from the Utah forum to the main forum page. Seems to be fixed now.

Pages load in something like one second max on my 'pooter. It's not a mega muscle machine, either. But I use Win 7 and Firefox with Ad Block Plus.

AdBlock Plus is a simple add-on. Go to your Add-ons menu tab, and if it isn't listed right near the top of "Popular Add-ons" just search for it. Takes about ten seconds to install - and then no more ads, period.

I have found that a post with 2-5 replies is fast enough to load. 5-10 replies gets slow enough to annoy me. 10-30 replies I'd better really like the topic title before I will click on it. And anything over 30, I just plan on doing something else while it loads.

I don't think it much to do with advertizements. More to do with the system's database size and management. But that's just a suspecion on my part.

But yea Geezer, we feel your pain.
