Crew,

Fished the provo river inlet from the shore monday morning, and caught one little largemouth flipping the timber. Plus, I got chased by about 5 river otters. No wonder the fishing was super slow. They looked well feed, so until the otters move out I doubt the fishing will be good in this spot.

Hope this helps everyone deciding on where to go this weekend.

Stay Stoked!

I am glad that the otters are back in the lower river, but are they allowed to catch June Suckers ????
I don't think there is a way to stop them from catching June Suckers Im guessing they eat what ever they can catch. A quick google search:

Diet:
They eat mainly aquatic animals, particularly fishes (mostly slow-moving, mid-size species such as suckers), frogs, crayfish, and turtles. They also prey on nesting aquatic birds in some areas as well as insects, earthworms, small mammals an even juvenile muskrats and beavers. An Idaho study reported diet items included fishes, invertebrates, birds, mammals, and reptiles.

Yessss! Good to see that some of them made it. Did you see if one was ear tag #25? I helped with his transplant.

There are plenty of fish for them to eat without worrying about any shortages for anglers. Especially in UL or the LoPro. They can even dine on a Junie or two and its fine with me.
