Even though I should be resting my arm, its hard staying away from the fishy friends. Work has allowed me to get out a few times this week, so I tried to take advantage of it. Went out with the original intention of getting bait, but did very little of it. Spent the whole time on this brute!<br /><br />I was using a live bluegill, and had caught one flathead already fishing a hole with a current eddy. After a few snags I finally settled my bait into the hole again. I held the rod for a bit, but just locked it into the rod holder when drag started screaming. I love the sound of that braided line going off a reel!<br />took about 45 minutes to wear him down enough to land with one good arm. Like Richard, I had no net that night, and had to do it by hand. Caught him on same rod and reel that my 87 was caught on.
