Today is kind of a rainy day so I thought I would make a posting about yesterdays fishing adventure.<br />Gave the crappie a shot on Fort Loudoun lake this time. I don&#39;t believe I had been over on that lake since last year sometime. The boat traffic is usually too much for me on that lake until after labor day. Put in at the canal ramp and made my way to a familiar spot which has always been good to me on this lake. Its a submerged tree laying in open water on a steep drop into 25 ft of water. I tell ya its a jig eating machine until you get your bearings on jig placement and drop. The fish were holding anywhere from 12 to 17 ft on this piece of cover with 74 degree water temperature. Caught most of my fish at this location with a 10 to 10 1/2 inch average length. A few fish were smaller and a few were larger. Panfish assassins worked the best but a few came into the boat on a bg crystal. Not one you hear about much anymore. The best crappie came in at 15 inches which called for a cool refreshing drink of Powerade and a text message pic to my sweetie.
