Well I guess I'll post a report since this was the last one. Jeff and I fished the areas and presentation we have all summer with pretty good success. I guess we ended up with post frontal conditions and the fish just didn't feel like cooperating. We ended up with two nice keepers for around 8.5 but never got a limit. We missed lots of bites and caught a few short fish. Hooking up was an issue because they just wouldn't hold the bait. I missed several that just spit the worm right as I was gonna swing emoBang The line would load up good and as I would swing I was hauling water.emoRedface Thats very frustrating especially when you only need one more bight. We went into HBSP to try for one more fish but didn't happen. We pushed our time to the limit and idled in at 1:55. The winners had a nice bag over 12 with a near 6lb big fish I believe and Troy and Hippi had over 10 so we ended up 3rd at best. This has been a great trail over the last two years for us and I'm already looking forward to next year. Thanks for the great job guys emoThanks emoThanks It was a beautiful night on a positive note. The clouds broke away for clear skies and a bright 3/4 moon that was enough light to cast a shadow. Nice cool temps and a light breeze from the north made the last couple runs chilly. We fished grass lines with 10" worms pretty much all night.
