Fished below Nickajack Dam from 12 noon until 5pm. Fished main channel drop offs with shiners. Caught 14 smallmouth, 2 Kentuckys, and 2 catfish. Fish were caught in 12 to 16 fow. Largest Smallmouth was 3lb. 5oz. and one 3lb. The rest of the fish were 1lb. or less. Water temp. was 76 degrees. All in all it was a good day, cloudy with a little rain a few times. Haven't been in awhile was good to get back on the water. Won't be long before the smallmouth fishing gets good. All fish returned to the river.
