My hat is off to these guys who seem to be catching the big ones. I can't seem to catch one over four pounds lately. Don't know if they buried up in the grass or headed for deeper water. Tried some of everything but could not find the size needed to have a good fish limit for this weekend. I am still finding lots of bass but most are stunted with short problems. I boated 18 bass yesterday but only 6 would measure and out of those six my best was 2/15. My best three would have been about seven and my best five a hair over eleven. Not much to show in weight for the Chick. The lake has slipped back up with the rain and some of the grass in now back under the surface. Last year at this time we were catching some quality fishing frogs and shad baits over the grass but that bite for me this year is few and far between. Yesterday I junked fish, deepest fish caught was 33 feet deep and the most shallow maybe four feet deep. Little of everything, spooks along the grass, flipping a jig head in the grass, a big worm Texas rigged, a finesse worm on a shakey and a deep crank. emoScratch

My pattern is "I have no pattern". Looks like this weekend I am just going fishing and going to hope for a big bite or two so my weight might get on up there. emoSmile Jmax
