Decided to call Tackle Toms. He said the perch fishing was very sporadic, compared to last fall. Cabarton, the only available ramp, was tricky launching right now, and most trout fishermen are bank fishing with some luck. Said they seem to like bass gear, because someone just came in with a trout that had 2 gitzits in his stomach. So, Lucky Peak, here I come!! Mike

I haven't fished Cascade for several weeks but my sources are reporting the same thing as Tom. I am going to try and sneak away here in the next week or so and will post a report. Good luck at LP.

I have been fishing up there the last couple of weeks. Topwater poppers are working for both trout and perch at sunrise. Midday depending on conditions its been small rapalas for both types as well.

Fished it yesterday out of the tube - it was a beautiful fall day. Perch fishing was below average for me this time of year - lots of small fish. The jumbos are there, I caught a few and some guys in a boat had it dialed in but they were few and far between. The trout fishing was good for 16"-18" heavy rainbows. It won't be long until we will be able to walk on that pond.
