Looking at getting one of the below rods to use in my pursuit of the tiger musky and pike. Any suggestions?

Get ahold of Mischievious. Pm him. He's an 2 handed kind of fisherman.

Agree with our Mischievous, or email Justin or Evan your phone number. I know Evan is into it big time.

Wrong choice for warm water fishies. Two handers are used to throw lots of line in moving water, where you need to cover lots of area searching for elusive Steelhead and Salmon. I suspect you are searching for a one hander, 8 weight with a fighting butt. Be careful if this rod is used for Musky and Pike to avoid going long. The leverage of a big pissed off Pike could fold a 10 footer up like an accordion.

I would suggest something like this:

I believe in using a heavy rod--like a 10 weight (I often use a 12 weight) with a fighting butt. I agree that a 2-handed rod is not what you are really looking for in targeting pike or musky. I like the albright stuff because it is relatively inexpensive and seems to work just fine!

Fighting butts are great and I agree with not needing a two hander although I have used mine for Carp.
I also have an older Orvis Trident 10' 8 weight that has a killer removeable 4" fighting butt. I haven't caught the fish you are targeting but some nice Carp that put a major bend.
