Oct 29, 2013 Lake Guntersville – With ever changing conditions over the past week, clients still caught fish and enjoyed their time on the lake. They boated several 2 to 3 pound fish and with a few better in the mix, mainly flipping D-Bombs, working SPRO Frogs over thick grass or Spooks early in the day over scattered grass. Later in the day, we backed out and flipped D-Bombs and Tightline Jig’s on grass lines in 8-12 FOW on creek channels and boat docks. Water temperatures ranged between 58 and 65 degrees depending upon location. No matter where we fished it had to be slow and there had to be bait fish present. As we head into November with cooler nights watch for the bass to school up around bridges, in creeks and around scattered grass as they feed for the winter months. November typically brings the return of rattle baits, jerk baits and A-rigs, however anglers can still enjoy some great Frog/Rat action, along with spinnerbait and Buzzbait bite around the grass flats. Anglers should start watching creeks, bridges and rip-rap for schools of bait fish, which will attract good numbers of Bass, Crappie and Stripers feeding up for the winter. We have days and licensed guides available throughout the fall; make your reservations now for some great fall or early winter action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford with full time Professional USCG Licensed and Insured guides.
