Yesterday was a great day for the shad family. I pulled in at the Riverpark to cast net for some shad. I pretty much brought in 2-3 shad per cast, which is not bad considering how slow it has been down there. I probably had 10 shad in my bucket and decided to go for some cats below the dam. When I got down there, there was one guy who had a bucket full of shad (threadfins I believe) and gave me another dozen or so. They were running thick there and I was glad to see the shad family coming back. I pulled in 3 cats from the spillways on threadfin shad. Biggest one maybe being close to 5.5 lbs. Fun times!
