I HAD A FRIEND CALL ME WHO TOLD ME THAT HE HAD JUST CALLED WILD ROSE TO CHECK ON THE ICE CONDITIONS. HE SAID WHILE HE WAS TALKING TO THEM THEY TOLD HIM 3 MALES JUST GOT CAUGHT TRYING TO TRANSPLANT BASS INTO THE LAKE.

IM NOT SURE IF THERE IS ANY TRUTH TO THIS AND WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HEARD THIS?

ALSO IF ANYONE HAS ANY ICE INFORMATION ON THE LAKE IT WOULD BE GREAT

That's nucking futs. Probably the same guys who: leave trash, shoot outhouse, burn picnic tables, drive cross country. . . etc. it's no wondèr more gates and signs are going up to lock us out. Hope they prosecute.

Don't want to hijack the post, but what are the ice conditions?

I am going to hunt deer tomorrow . If no one posts the conditions before I will check the lake Saturday and give a report . I don't believe it is froze yet to much wind .

Just got off phone with lady at wild rose and she said lake is by no means froze over. Said she watched a guy this morning put his boat in and then try to break through ice around edge and mess his boat up really bad. Ice on edge was to thick to push through with boat. She said there was open water in the marina then ice then open water.

I checked the ice at the State Park yesterday and there is quite a bit of ice out from the ramp and all along the area to the right along Howard Creek going up to Targhee creek. No chance of launching boats from the ramp. It was snowing and blowing hard but the temp was 32 degrees. Last night's low was 23 degrees so we should be making ice unless the wind messes things up. The middle of the lake is all open water.

Thanks for the report .

Did you notice if lake was froze on the left hand side of the dike that protects the boat ramp .

Has the water came up any or is it still way low.?
[signature]
It is 76 percent .

I can't believe someone would do that. There are already enough mudhole reservoirs to catch invasive species in without turning one of the few trophy trout waters we have into another generic bass hole.

Aw, there it is. But apparently that is now up for debate. Looks like they are more interested in it be a FAMILY lake.

Please share links to threads or articles showing where this push for it to be a family lake?

Bucket Biologist are worthless. No different than people pushing for wolves to be reintroduced. Trying to screw up a good thing.
