A late report! Actually have been working too much to get it done! I know right???<br />Went out solo last thursday for a few hours on the river, and really battled the wind! Wow that was gettin scary. Anchored up on a bunch of new spots and caught a decent fish from all. Biggest went 45# Finally wind got so bad I called it a day. <br />Friday went out with dad. A tough day in wake of the front. First fish was 28 lbs so I thought it was going to be good, but then the bite went totally dead almost. Kept catching the same 5 lb blue out of every spot we tried. In the evening the channel cats started driving us nuts, and the wind was limiting the places to try. <br />Went to an old reliable spot, and within a few minutes fish started hiting. Pretty soon an old night stik goes down and Dad lands him a new personal best 46#. Right as dusk hit we both are away from the rods when one doubles over pointing straight at the water from a 45 degree angle. Drag is peeling and dad cant get the rod out of the holder. Finally he manages it out as the hook pops free of the old brute emoBang Would have loved to see that fish!!!<br />Another few smaller fish and a great takedown that unbottons and we call it a day.<br />Last chance together for a long time, will miss him.
