Fished Salmon with a boat Tuesday with great success using needlefish and weighted line. It was a first using that line however getting the lure deeper sure helped.
Folks from shore seemed to be doing good as well. A question I would like to throw out there is my fish finder both in summer and late fall in the section from the dam to the start of the boat dock explodes with fish and was curious if anyone has had any luck fishing there and how you did it as I have failed each time in that section. PM me if you would like to, Thanks

Awesome, sounds like fun, how big were the kokes? and how many colors did you have out or were you using weighted fly line?
As far as what you were marking on your finder, could there be under ground spring in that area?

No Kokes just some nice sized rainbows 14"-18". I was using lead core line on a large level wind reel. The fish were around 20-25ft in depth.

I am not sure about any springs in that spot however that's an idea. Thanks

If there is springs in the area, the bubbles usually come up at an angle. Were the marks on the Fish finder, from the bottom to the top of the water column?
Good going on the bows, sounds like some nice fish.
