Anybody watch a movie, or a program, even pictures that they have made a mistake. I know most the fly fishing commercials are notorious for this.
I was looking at the new HOBIT. Thumbing through the shots my hubby noticed first...picture #3 of Evangeline Lilly drawing the bow...Arrow is on the wrong side.

I guess I don't see it, it looks like the arrow is on the right side of the bow to me. Since I'm right handed, I think that is the correct way to shoot a bow, I know that is the way I use to shoot them years ago, maybe it is different if you are left handed[:/]. Or am I just missing it?

Arrow should be resting on the left side of the bow for right handed. That is the way I shoot and the Hunger Games.

Which side you knock on is determined on how the bow is made. Being that the bow in question is an Elvin recurve bow, made in Middle Earth, I would say that she is knocking the arrow correctly.
That's just me.

The other Elves are doing it correctly. The way she is doing it the arrow can fall off or once shot the fletching would rip her hand.
