Got to wolfteiver ramp around 8:30 , thinking I would have to be home by noon. Figured I would look for some new crappie honey holes. Well I found one. Close to one I stumbled on a few weeks ago trying to get out of the wind. Been speeding right by this one for years. Caught 5 crappie. Two non keepers, one 11", one 11 1/4 and a 14 1/4" oh and can't forget the shiner I caught on a jig. They were in 20 feet of water. Put them all back and went back to the boat ramp. The phone rang and I got the good news. I can fish all day. So I went under the wolfteiver bridge out to the bay and saw the gulls flying and about 7 or 8 boats. Thought I would get in on the action but didn't catch any. Had some hard hits but couldn't hook one up. I did see a guy pull in a striper around 20 to 25 lbs. He was solo and was having trouble trying to take a picture of him holding the fish. His arm wasn't long enough. lol Understanding the situation, I offered to take the pic for him but he released it. Didn't want it to be out of the water too long. He said that he was using a tail spinner. I don't have one of those so I used a little cleo. Gotta get a tail spinner next time I'm out. Water temp 53 to 55.
