I'm just curious if any one hit the place today or will hit before sunday because I'm curious if there is any ice there. Still decided where to go sunday.

tibble fork does not freeze well...it probably has ice right now but it has soft spots all year even really cold years....

Ya I remeber last year when I first went there it was screaming 2" of ice and cracking around me then the 2 weeks was 5-7" then the week later 9-10" then 2 weeks later 4-5" of ice. Last season was an amazing year too hit tibble. I just hope the place actually freeze up. It's sorda close by and decent fish in there.

Caught some nice 15-16" bow and browns here and there. I still cant believe one float tube trip that I end up with a 19" bow out of there [laugh].

Are there specific areas that don't freeze well? I'm thinking of taking doing some fishing up there this winter and want to know if there are specific areas I should steer clear of.

the areas where the creek runs in are always open. sometimes near the dam you can be fooled with the snow layer on top and near shore it can be 12 inches of drilling but you go out further and it will be just a few inches. I like to stay in the area just straight out in the middle. They always talk about the underwater springs and I am not sure exactly where they are but I just know the thickest ice has been straight out between the pine tree and the larger tree right in that middle area with the rail and switch back trail down to the lake.
