With the weather looking rough I decided to give hunting a rest and hit the water. Bought a new Halo rod and reel from Fish N Fun and was itching to try it out anyway. I got to CFP at 8 and wasted an hour or so chunking the rig with no bites. Went to some shallower water using a trap on the new combo and that did the trick. Caught between 10-15 keepers on a 1/2 oz red trap. This is probably my favorite way to catch them for some reason. Most fish were in 5 FOW or less and temps were 46-48. Around noon it got really foggy and I carefully made my way back into the park and it was busy in there. Fished until 1:30 and packed it in. Very impressed with the new equipment. Didn't catch anything picture worthy and if I did I wouldn't want to get my phone wet. Biggest was about 4.5 and had several of those.
