Anyone know the ice conditions at the Marina or Mud Creek? How thick, slush, how much snow is on the ice, etc.? Planning on heading up there tomorrow morning for the first trip of the year.

Marina has good ice. Solid 7 with some snow on top. Pockets though have a little slush and are slick, we could see he difference in the way the snow looked Friday and avoided the wet part. Went straight down on my face ha ha first time going over trying to pull the sled. Best luck was with shrimp. Read a couple days back there was a good report on the marina. Good luck!

yesterday
ice: 6 inches
snow on top: 1 inch
fish: most seen between 10'-20'
good luck!
Fished the Marina yesterday. About 5 inches of ice and very slushy. One area I fished in 2 inches of water and slush. Fishing was good on Rat Finkees and meal worms and shrimp.

I went up Christmas Eve with a friend on his sled. We fished Renegade via the west strawberry road. There was one other group of two snowmobiles over there. Other than that, it was pretty quiet. No slush to speak of. 7-8" of ice. Fishing was good. We stopped counting fish, but we slayed 'em. I would say maybe 60-75 fish in about 4 hours. Caught them on Chartruse, white jigs with mealies or waxies. Didn't really seem to matter. Lots of Cutts, but a few Bows, too. Maybe 8-10 Cutts to every Bow ????

Can you drive to renegade now, looking to go there in the morning, well at least the berry and fish where the fish are, Hahahahahahahaha.

You cannot drive a car/truck to Renegade, road is plowed to the marina turn off only then blocked by a plowed up snow bank. Snowmobile would work.
