It was just above Currant Creek last weekend. It's been pretty warm the last week and blowing hard today with gusts in the 50s so I doubt it's progressed downlake much. You could try calling Buckboard for a report at 307-875-6927. Good luck, Ryno

I have an open elk tag for area 107 and drove from north of Buckboard to Manila on Monday. Though I didn't drive to the ramp at Buckboard the lake that I could see from the road was wide open. I did drive down to the ramp at Holmes Crossing which was wide open with one boat out, and I believe that Jim (Tarpon Jim) said the water at Lucerne was 41* last week. It was sunny and windy and not real cold. I've seen many years that the ice never gets below Anvil and without a January deep freeze this could be one of those years..
