Hey yall,
I haven't been on this forum for a while, have been caught up in school and work. Well I'm finally on my winter break from school and have someone to take me to ice fish Henry's lake for the first time since I've been up here. Here's the problem: we're both virgins to the lake and was hoping for any advice on what part of the lake to fish and what to expect. Anything helps. Thanks [Smile]

Welcome back and good luck however all you need to do is go back on past Henry's reports and find all you need to know. Have fun.

The best jig to use in my opinion is the 1/16oz white or pink paddle bug. I would get away from heavy use areas. I use a flasher also about 18'' above the paddlebug. Paddlebugs can be found at Sportsmans, the white ones are frequently sold out, I bought 30 the other day as I saw an opportunity. If you are there at sunrise and stay till noon you are bound to catch a few fish.

+1 on the white paddle bug. I've also had great luck with the solid chartreuse paddle bugs of the same size. There's a translucent chartreuse that works too, but the solid color seems to work better more predictably! To be honest I would actually follow the crowds for your first time out on the lake - especially on the North West shore. Good luck!
