I am planning on taking the kids to Pelican Lake for some ice fishing. I have never been there and not familiar with the area. Anyone familiar with Roosevelt, Vernal, or Pelican lake have advice? I thought about driving to the area and then staying the night somewhere so we can start the morning fresh. Not sure about restaurants, hotels, area to fish on the lake, etc.

My kids are big fans of eating panfish, so I think Pelican lake is probably a good choice from what people have said. I will be taking 3 kids and one of them will be their first ice fishing event.

I ran across another post that asked about Pelican Lake. I do apologize for not seeing it sooner. However, although the post is similar, I am curious to know about places to stay in the area.
