I went to the Soldier Creek side yesterday and dove over to the dam and was shocked to still see the bay by the SC ramp was wide open. Found one more spot past the dam by Stinking Springs that had open water as well.
We fished on 4 inches of clear ice and landed 6 bows and 12 slot cuttys. Nothing to big or to small and the kids had a blast.

How much of the bay is open water?

When you say "SC ramp" do you mean the aspen grove ramp or the main ramp at the SC marina?

Soldier creek ramp area has the open water.
Aspen bay is iced over.
