I got out from 12-5 today to try out my new Ipiloy trolling motor and try to catch some crappie. First stop was a brush pile that only had a few on it. I moved over to a dock and caught 4 nice ones. I ran upriver to the spot I really wanted to fish and it was loaded pretty good with fish on a drop. The I pilot spot lock held perfectly despite the wind and current and made it possible to catch some. Most of the fish here were keepers. I fished a few other drops and caught more fish with scattered keepers. The biggest ones were a 12.5, but they were all thick healthy fish. Of course the two eat ones I had on pulled off at the boat. Ended the day with 27 keepers and close to 50 fish.<br />All the fish were either caught on outlaw special or bone/chartreuse. Water temp was 45 and it had to be sloooooow to get bit.<br />It was a nice day and the trolling motor exceeded my expectations.
