Taking 2 grandsons for a quick trip to Vernon. Anybody been out there? And any success? Not so far from town and will be back in time for football.

Ive been curious about vernon as well, i know it was pretty low in the fall. Let us know how you did if you went out.

Tried a couple weeks ago and the roads wouldn't let my truck in maybe a snowmobile or 4 wheeler

Hit Vernon today, with the 2 grandsons. Lots of fish on the screen. Managed to bring home 3 browns and 1 bow. Lost several at the hole and numerous times missed setting the hook! Great fun and great day. There were others out, most by the dam dock bldg. Ice was about 8". All in all a good day, especially trying to keep up with tangled lines, helping bait hooks, time outs to eat and boredom for the grandsons! Lots of memories! Vernon was very close to Tooele, so the bigger lakes had to wait till next time!

thanks WC! maybe Ill make the drive out there this weekend and check it out. was the water still really low or has it come up at all? At one point in the fall the DWR reports said it was basically a river and not worth fishing .
