just came back from ririe!BUMMER!! open water by boat ramp. ken and 5 others was fishing about about 20 yards off private boat ramp, didnt see any fish laying on the ice. still to scary for me!!!!

I'm with you. I drove up there yesterday and still was large open water around the rockpile. Two groups fishing just barely off the ramp, but I'm not crazy enough to try it yet. Sure seems like its taking its sweet time freezing this year.

I spoke with Ken on the phone. He was saying there are some really dangerous areas if you don't know how to pick your way around the ice with a spud bar. The fishing has been mostly rainbows. No perch or Kokes.
