Had a girlfriend going there years ago so I setup a tent at Spring Valley reservoir east of Moscow when I went for a visit. Caught my first bluegill, a 16" trout, and then an 18" trout that dwarfed the first one. Had a really good time.
More recently we went up and stayed with my cousin who lives there and fished it again. Still a nice little lake. He didn't know of anything else really close to fish, but he has gone a few other places further north that someone may be able to comment on.
You could always fish the Salmon and Clearwater on your way, or if you go through Montana and come down the Lewis and Clark scenic byway it runs along the river and I've stopped there and hopped the guard rail to fish some.

When I was in school up there we ice fished spring valley and moose creek reservoirs for planter trout and panfish. My favorite place to go, however, was Winchester lake southeast of Lewiston. It is right off the highway and is fun to fish for crappie, bluegill, trout, and even some catfish. If I remember correctly it is a little over an hour from Moscow. Hope this helps!

Oh yes, Winchester. We stopped by on the drive back. Found it just from searching the GPS for places to fish. We didn't have any luck at the time in October, but it looked like a fun lake, and ice fishing would be cool. If you stop there a report would be awesome.

If you want to stay close to Moscow either Spring Valley or Moose Creek are the only two. Spring Valley should fish well the ice on Moose Creek can be sketchy at times because if is fed by warmer springs. When I was going to school up there it seemed like we did best at Spring Valley just off the island 5-10ft of water.
You might take a look at the Ice Shanty Idaho forum there is a thread called North Idaho Ice. There is quite a few guys that update it. At least they used to. http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?board=152.0
