Got off work early today so I decided to fish for a few hours at Steinaker today with my 4 year old. This is the 6th time on the ice at steinaker this winter and I noticed that it slowed down a bit compared to the really hot days we've been having.

Talked to a few other fisherman and some dwr biologist and their report was just so so. We ended getting 4 bows around 16ish inches

I was super excited for my 4 year boy today. For the first time he finally set the hook, reeled in, landed, and took the hook out of the fish's mouth. This fish was kind enough to let him get about 5 swings and misses before he set the hook. Proud day for a father right here.

Dwr is doing a ice fish clinic on Saturday Jan 18th at steinaker 900am.

Nice. Great photo!

Did you have any success for bluegill in your previous trips by chance?
