I will be up in the FG area this week and would like to try fishing for burbot. I am not looking for a secret spot but any suggestions of where to try would be appreciated. Easy access from the bank and I don't mind walking a ways.
Next what kind of lures do you use and do you tip them with anything?
Do you catch them on the bottom or at different levels?
Thanks

Fish rocky points at nite with glow jigs and sucker meat 5 to 20 ft on the bottom dead stick or jigging good luck

I did pretty good in the lost dog area in December. it's about 200 yard walk over to the cliff. we fished about 15 to 20 feet of water about 20 feet off the bank.
we used radical glow 4in. tube jigs tipped with a 2in. long 1/2in. wide sucker meat
fished about 1/2in to 1in. off the bottom dead stick. fished from 5 pm to 11 pm the best bite was from 6 to 9 after that it slowed way down. good luck.
