Got out yesterday afternoon and called myself bass fishing. I threw a rig and a trap until I thought my shoulder was going to give out. Tried deep, shallow and several depths in between. In short...notta, nothing, zip. My bass fishing so far this year has really stunk. With the new Ranger I look good doing it but cannot seem to find anything much at all. emoBang Even when I go with TR20bh(who does well without me) we don't do well. I think I am jinxed on the bass this year.<br /><br />Finally got fed up with bass not biting and went for some crappie. They were real slow also but I got on some dead sticking right off the bottom. I managed around 30 to 35 in about five places. I bought home 13 between 10.5 and 13 inches. Nice mess to add to the freezer. I had a couple other keepers but right at 10 inches, those were released to grow a little more. emoAngel I was using a blue tube jig with a chartreuse tail. They were hitting that color better then the normal ghost color I usually use. They were really inactive as well. Most hit so light I never felt them hit or even saw the line move. It just got mushy and one was on. Had a good time in my Ranger crappie boat fishing. emoRolleyes <br /><br />I hope the bass will turn on soon for me, I am starting to wonder what my year is going to look like with bass fishing. emoBooHoo Jmax
