Finally got out for a day of Crappie chasin' today. Picked a cold day to do it too, :o It was 19* when I put in at Chester Frost
this AM at 7:30 but I was 1st so no ice on the ramp to deal with.

NOTE----- I learned a trick back many years ago when we used to duck hunt on the Mississippi River. When you put
your boat in the water and pull the trailer back out, stop just when the trailer clears the water and let the water
drain off the trailer before you pull on back up the ramp. Most of the water will go back in the lake instead of getting
the ramp wet and that turning into ice so the next guy trying to put in won't slide sideways and wreck his rig!!!

Anyway on with the days report;
It was cold but the fishing was good 'till about 11:00 then they turned the switch off. I could see plenty fish on the
Lowrance but they didn't want to play, Wink I tried several colors but nothing turned them on so I had 34 at 11:00
and could only add 3 more by 3:30 emoScratch I did keep 12 to clean for a good fish fry but didn't catch any
really big ones. I think the biggest was a little over 12 inches.
No pictures, when it's that cold and the wind is blowing a picture is out of the question. I didn't even take the camera
out with me today. May not have worked anyway in that cold. It did warm up in the afternoon and if you could get
out of the wind it was nice.

Bait of the day seemed to be Patriot, Bluegrass and Outlaw Special, didn't seem to make much difference, all produced
about the same amount. Most fish caught in 15 to 20 FOW and near the bottom.

One of the most interesting things of the day was that I only saw one boat from the time I put in until 10:30 or so.
I guess I was the only dummy out in the cold this morning, emoBigSmile emoGeezer
