Sorry if there is a better place to post this. This being my first post I hope you will have patience.

I found a group of ice rods on Yuba in the last week. No one wants to loose good stuff and a friend told me this is where the real fisherman/women will be. So simple as it goes, identify the rods and they are yours with the blessing of the fishing gods.

Not sure if this is kosher or not you can call me directly. 801 602-6117. If its not kosher I'm sure a moderator will delete my add or my number. Dover

This is kosher! Welcome to BFT. Nice of you to try to find the owner of the rods. Hope you can get them home again. Also as a side note usually use the PM feature. That way you won't need to post your phone number on the open forum.

Thanks for the tip.

I can't believe no one has called. Whole pack of rods missing should get noticed.

if they are not members here you might want to try putting it on KSL lost and found. Believe it or not my wife recovered a bow and case that way.

Good luck

Wondering if you have found the owner yet?

You might want to call the Yuba State Park office at 435-758-2611. They may have been contacted by the person who lost the rods. Also there's another fishing forum called the Utah Wildlife Network and a post there might get a response. Good luck in your efforts to locate the owner. I appreciate your honesty and your desire to return the rods to the rightful owner.

I have not had any calls. I did call the state park as per your advise. I am not logged in to the other forum. It is on ksl.

You are doing all the right things to find the owner. Thank you for your honesty and integrity.

You have my respect for all that you've done to locate the owner. The Utah Wildlife Network is a free-standing website. If you do a Goggle search for it, it will show up. They have a fishing trip report section that gets far less traffic than BFT, but there are many fishermen who watch that site.

BFT rules do not allow me to include a link for the other website.

I may go to Yuba again on Wednesday. If I go, I would be glad to put a small sign on the restroom at Painted Rocks to let anyone know about the rods. I will have them checkout your BFT thread here to get your contact information.
Did you find the rods near Painted Rocks or at Oasis? I don't think I saw that information.

On the trail from painted rocks to the parking lot. The weeds grabbed them off a sled is my guess.

Thanks for the additional information. It looks like we will be fishing in that area again tomorrow. I will make up a sign and post it where it can be seen. Hopefully the owner or someone else who knows about the lost rods will see it.
If there isn't any response within a few weeks, I think you are the new proud owner. Of course next winter someone is going to say, "hey that's my rod that I lost last winter". [Wink]

Thanks again for all your effort in locating the owner.

I returned to Yuba today for another fishing outing. I made up a sign and placed it on the door of the Painted Rocks fee booth at the entrance. Hopefully someone will see it and contact you about the rods. I included your phone number since you've already posted it here. I hope you don't mind me doing it this way.
I wish you the best of luck finding the owner.

Mike

7:30? on a Saturday? I would have broke his rods, just kidding. Thats great you were able to find the owner. Strong work fellas.

That news makes my day! I know I sure would have appreciated the effort if they had been my rods. This is just another example how this on-line community can help each other and set a good example for others.
Thanks again for your honesty and effort.

Your a lucky guy. I lost one rod on bear lake last year no calls and this year lost one at Utah lake it was gone with in 1 hr returning too the area. Posted a note but never got a called.

Hope that rod isn't far from your place at least.
