Arrived at River Park around 8:30. Third boat there and I don't think anyone was in a hurry to leave. It was a lot colder than I expected but no one ever said fishermen were smart. Headed to our first spot and marked lots of fish. Caught plenty of crappie with only 2 keepers. Gills and yellowbellys were more than willing to play for a while until the wind picked up coming straight up the river. Seemed like it slowed them down some but we did manage to catch a lot of fish. All were released to fight again later. Water was 42 to 40 and clear. Ian is a new neighbor I meet recently who has been in the service until recently. It is so refreshing to find a 20 something young man who is respectful, knows what yes sir, no mam, thank you and your welcome are.
