Deb and I fished from 12:00 until 4:30 Monday. We caught 42 crappie and 38 yellow bass. We ran into an invasion of yellow bass that we just couldn't shake for about two hours. I haven't seen them in these kind of numbers in the past where we were fishing today. We went with our combo of jigs and minnows and finding most of our fish hugging the bottom in 12-18 feet. Our best fish were suspended in about 13 feet again though. The BG "Gumdrop" Slab Slay'R jigs worked well again but I guess that was because that's about all we used. emoSmile Water temperature was 44-45 degrees. A couple of pics of the larger crappie caught today. All fish were released. I painted about 50 jigheads yesterday with powder paint - I guess I was bored. I went with Black-Blue Flake...Red...Green Chartreuse...Hot Pink.
