It never fails, I'm driving, come to a traffic light and when it turns green some bozo takes off like a bat outta he--. I get to the next light, there they are again - - same story over & over.
Also, how is it that people will go to the gym for an hour every other day but are still too damn lazy to take a shopping cart to a cart corral, let alone take it back into the store.

OK everbuddy, gimme crap fer alls yer worth but there's a grain of truth here.

Haha I might be that bozo at the light. I hate getting stuck behind you older folks that like to go under the speed limit [Wink]. But for the cart thing I totally agree. More people like to leave them in the parking spaces rather than walk the 10-15 feet to put it away.

Try cleaning out the parking lot on black Thursday all the way strip clean before 12 am then we can talk about how much h=ll it is. Had too get my butt outside after the customer survive extravaganza then outside for 4 hrs with 3 other people have too clean it out before 12 am not a fun day especially when they are the bank or I hop area all the way back back back there where people are hiding them from us.

The thing that bugs me bad if they put the cart on the curb 10-20 ft from the slot area like you said. There are times when I use too work outside I just wanted to scream at them and tell them take the cart over there not here or this cart will be on top of your car soon [laugh].

Trust me the cart situation is bad every day when I use to do it. I've been there done all of that. Some people need a book of common sense slapped in there face really HARD.

Black Thursday are a pain in the butt. Stupid greedy shoppers make me miss my Thanks Giving dinner. I love how people where apologizing but I just look at them like I would love to scream in there face with a few words that I can't toss on bft ha ha ha.

I got to agree, not enough common sense to go around. Just this morning during the snow storm I was slowing down at a yellow light turning red at Bangater when this guy flies by me in a Dodge Durango guns it through the red light trying to make the turn onto Bangater .. the Guy ended up doing a 180 slamming in to the curb you could see his tires go in the air, he barley missed another car waiting to turn and boom into the cement wall....

And in addition Bangader is now become a parking lot from all the rubber neckers.

Yep, that happens all the time with those lead foots.

What gets me is all the cars with a missing headlight! I do a 16 mile commute and sure enough there are 8 cars per night that have a missing headlight and usually there is a car with NO HEADLIGHTS on!

As for the shopping carts.....job security for someone at the store I guess.

I used to be that guy. I had a big truck and was always late and/or impatient with people. I always hated it when I'd burn off the line only to be stuck at the next light, watching the slow poke in my mirror slowly pull up next to me again. (so I tinted my windows -- Ha!)

It wasn't until I bought a Prius, which gives you up to the second MPG, that I realized how freaking stupid it is to blow off the line. From purely a monetary perspective, I was forced to just take it easy. 293,000 miles on my Prius now, and I'm still getting 42mpg. Going slow pays off, I tell ya!

Can someone explain to me this stopping 2 to 3 car lengths behind another vehicle or even when no one is in front Specially annoying when it is a short Lane. Is it a Fred Flintstone thing where they need a running start?

I think it started some years ago when some news report claimed that cars were getting hit and pushed into other cars or worse yet into intersections, where they got hit by other cars that were going through the intersection. They claimed if motorist would just leave a few car lengths between cars in front or intersections there would be fewer deadly accidents. Not sure if it is true but I guess it doesn't hurt.

Except on short lanes, like turn lanes. Cars end up in the blocking cars trying to go straight. And places with short lanes and lights close together it is terrible . Adds to that idle pollution.
Oh, and I have ben rear ended with last one at 50 which way exceeds most streets. I slid 5', but my foot was on the brake where it belonged.
Too many carsin this valley to be leaving these kinds of gaps, just look in your rear view mirror.

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]I can't figure out these people either. They have no sense of planning, or perhaps they only look about 5 feet out from their front bumber. Anyhow, I think it is a medical condition they have thinking they always need to beat everyone to the next light. You just aint going anywhere untill that light says so.

I'm one of those old curmudgeons that follows the 3 second rule (count the seconds it takes my car to get to the point the car in front of me passed), when I'm driving freeways or higher speed roads. I will leave space in front of me at traffic lights, not a lot, but some, especially when the car behind me is trying to push me. My thinking is this: The single thing I can have some control over is the amount of time I have to react to something awry ahead of me. I can't control what the driver alongside, behind and, in front of me is going to do. I can at least try to give myself some time to react. Problem with that idea is there are too many Mario Andretti or Clint Bowyer wannabe's out there that'll dive in to that space. Guess they figure the second they gain is worth the risk they take of wearing my car as a necklace if something happens in front of them to bring them to a sudden stop. This might be kinda jerk like but if I have a tailgater on my butt, I'll triple or quadruple the distance between me and the vehicle in front of me. Then if something goes to pot in front of me, I'll have time to give BOZO some brake lights before I really have to slam them on.
I drive cars to & from a local auto auction as a part time job so spend considerable time on the freeways and highways around the valley. I have kinda idly counted the amount of time some aggressive drivers gain from their asinine antics and it seems that they can gain maybe 10 - 15 seconds tops on me from one exit to the next. These observations are when traffic is running at, or close to, the speed limit which in Utah is about 5 - 10 MPH. above the posted limit. Worth it????

I follow the 3 second rule when driving. When stopped at a light and it turns green I wait until I can see the rear tires of the vehicle in front of me before I move. I also can't stand it when I look in my rear view mirror (I drive a truck with topper) and I can only see the top of the bumper hugger behind me if that plus I can't even see them with my side mirrors or bubble mirrors...finally and I guess something I'll never understand is blasting the music in full bass that I can be 5 cars back with windows up and my side mirrors, rear view mirror all vibrating...nothing to say when you pull alongside a dimwit who thinks everyone else likes the boom-diddy-diddy-boom-boom-diddy-boom so called music they're listening to with all their windows ROLLED DOWN...[unimpressed][unimpressed]
