I would like to see some too. A fish that rare in that lake, I would think anybody would take a lot of pics of it, regardless of the size. I have fished that lake for 30+ years and have never seen one.

That brings up an interesting thought. When I came here in 1975, most people called walleye, "pike". I've even heard them called "walleyed pike". It seems silly now, because we really don't hear that anymore, thank goodness. There were even signs by the lake that referred to the "pike", that I assume were posted by DWR. Anyone who was around back then knows just what I'm talking about. []

Yup. Back then (and especially in the Midwest) you had to say "northern" if you meant a pike, because the word pike meant a "walleyed pike". Damn confusing.
I much prefer the current differentiation and naming.

Here's one. Caught right outside of AF Harbor before entering the Harbor. It was caught on 5/30/12 on a green curly tail fishing for white bass. It was near all the weeds. I usually go out there with waders. I'm thinking it was chasing/ambushing smaller fish and mistaken the lure for a fish... or it was blind and hungry. It was pretty small. Also included another pic with all the white bass that was caught that day. Its more to verify the location for the "non-believers."

I have a picture of one that was caught in the Jordan River last summer but I will not post it because I don't have permission to do so. I personally think there are a lot more than people think.....

I lived in the Midwest for over 20 years and pike were pike northers were pike and walleye were walleye. No one thought you meant walleye when you said pike. The term "walleye pike" from what I understand comes more from Canada. I never heard walleye referred to as pike where I'm from.

May be female, but fished all my life. In that 50 crowd too. Walleye has always been just walleye, and Pike a Northern Pike. Utah & Idaho.
Humminbirdin, exscuse me for asking, but if you caught it in public water, what permission do you need?

Is this really from UL? or another lake in Utah, or elsewhere?

I'm guessing upper Midwest or Canada. That pike is pushing 50".
