I can tell it's coming because my patience for ignorant tools has almost run dry. It's not quite cabin fever, but more of the need to get on the stream and swear profusely at any little thing, for no real reason. Therapy, really.

I can make it six weeks... Right? Six weeks until prespawn might happen... Hold on buddy, we're almost there.

Hang in there, warmer weather and soft water fishing is coming. Longer for others than some....[cool]

Members on BFT Utah fighting with words because they can't get outdoors and do what they love, FISH. It happens twice every year during spring before open water season and the Fall before ice on. It is happening early this year[unimpressed].

Exactly, it doesn't matter to me if or when it warms up and the ice melts. Fishing is excellent now and has been all winter. Now july ,when it gets over 100 degrees that is one dead month of the year lol. Still fish to be caught but I hate going into that furnace weather. After the spawns are over, it will get to be the slow time of the year.

Spring just reached Utah in the last couple days according to my observations while hiking down on the lowest elevation stretch of Utah today. I saw just a few Cottonwoods and a single Honey Mesquite tree that were budding/ leafing out. The Catclaw Acacia trees look nice with red mistletoe in them but all were are all still dormant. Saw countless wildflower plants in the area and a very rare one was starting to bloom and even rarer were a couple already in bloom. It hit 60 before noon and there was just a trace of snow in sight scattered on the highest reaches of the Beaver Dam Mountains. Now we just have to wait as it slowly moves to higher ground and North. St George in 2 weeks and SLC in 2 months is my prediction. The only problem with the warmer weather was my favorite stretch of shoreline on Quail Creek Reservoir was totally overrun with about 2 dozen folks already fishing when I got there later in the afternoon.

Slc in maybe 3-4 weeks lol. My peach flower buds are really swelling already. Some years Valentines equals spring lol, but march for sure it is no matter what.
