I took a walk along the jordan river today and honestly was pretty disappointed because they've completely ruined a spot I like to fish. Kind of funny because they call it Jordan river restoration but it's the opposite. They've literally destroyed trees and vegetation in the water and one island thing. Additionally they've lined he hole place that used to have trees and vegetation with boulders. It used to be a fast moving rapid like area and then created a pool and now it looks like a lake. Oh and now its a carp fest because I could see lots of them in it. Really is a shame I was too young and never got to see unaltered cool rivers. What I'm really wondering is if dredging for flooding actually works and more importantly is it worth it? The costs, constant maintenence, etc? On a high water year are homes and other places really not going to flood just because the river was dredged? http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree...on-farmers
