I'm headed to Rockport and I am wondering how the ice is. Has anyone been up there lately? Its been pretty warm!

If you made it up there, please let us know what the conditions were like, I'd like to try it one more time if the ice isn't too bad.

I went to the south part of the lake. The edges were good. Coming on and off the ice. The ice was 19 inches. That was measured with my tape.

The fishing was slow. I got only 1 perch about 4 inches long, 1 10 inch rainbow , and 1 sucker fish. I saw lots of fish but none wanted to play. I was in 16 feet of water.

Well the ice sounds good but the catching sounds slow. How many hours did you fish? How much snow/slush was on the ice? Thanks for the report.

I fished from 630 to about 1145. No slush on the ice at all. It was a little windy but a good day to be out. A lot better than sitting at home!

Well that is good to hear, most of the other lakes around here are a mess with slush and standing water. I guess you need ice cleats then?

There was a few slick spots. But most of the lake was good to go. There is about 2 inches of snow on the ice.

Was also at Rockport today . Edges are pulling back ! Hard getting off at 4:00 p m . Derby this Weekend !! Hope it gets colder or it will only get worse !! Check out pictures !!!

With all the rain and wet snow we have been receiving it looks like the water level is raising. The temps are suppose to go up this week, so it is likely to get worse.
